Store Transformation in Taipei
【Brand story】
Grandpa, the master of the kitchen, made “melon and chicken soup,” and Dad turned it into “melon and pork soup!” The long-established winter melon pork bone soup, simmered with large bones, offers a delightful sweetness and a fragrant aroma. Pork hind leg meat is mixed with fish paste, freshly made and cooked to satisfy the palate.
One mouthful of gourd soup with meat paste, followed by a bowl of savory braised pork rice, and Wang’s Broth brings out the ancient flavor in a new way, earning praise from all who taste it. These street snacks at Huaxi Street Night Market have ascended to the Michelin guide, which serves the dishes of the common people, the home-cooked dishes of the Wang family in old Mengjia.
Two generations of Little Wangs join forces to welcome food enthusiasts to come and dine!
【Key points of transformation】
Elevating Huaxi Street’s Food Scene with an Upgraded Michelin-Recommended Snack Spot
Formerly known as “Wang’s Melon and Pork Clear Soup,” a 40-year-old establishment on Huaxi Street was renowned for its unique melon pork soup and earned Michelin’s recommendation in 2019. The old store faced issues with aging and water leakage. The second-generation owners, a husband and wife, aspired to enhance the brand’s image and revive the former glory of Huaxi Street.
The original name was too lengthy, and it has been revitalized and given a new name, “Wang’s Broth” along with the slogan “loved by those who have tasted it.” This transformation includes a new brand identity, spatial design, and stall decor that highlights the essence of the cuisine, the historical significance of the neighborhood, and its vibrant street life.
Following this transformation, the restaurant has become a must-visit spot for photography enthusiasts and food lovers on Huaxi Street, and it has encouraged other businesses in the area to follow suit.
