Longshan Club was founded by Xu Xiangyun, a nakasi accompanist celebrated as a national treasure, and has been rooted in Bangka for nearly 25 years. After receiving a license in Taipei's first round of street-performer licensing in 2005, Mr. Xu began performing at Bangka Park. In 2009, he opened Longshan Club in the Longshan Underground Shopping Mall before moving to its current location on Guangzhou Street. At the heart of the business is a space for nakasi accompaniment, one of Wanhua's distinctive musical traditions, combining music lessons, food and drink, and social gatherings. Drawing on 50 years of professional accompaniment experience, Mr. Xu has created this space together with his wife and co-owner, Qiu Xiuzhen.
