【Brand story】

In 1949, in Taipei’s Wanhua Jixing Market, my grandfather ran a business selling eggs in a Japanese-style wooden house at the end of the alley. During the nights, he would sleep in a small attic, and the faint light of day would filter in through the small wooden windows. In a time of scarcity, eggs were the most precious source of nutrition. The first time experiencing the satisfaction and joy of eating eggs, my grandfather always cherished and remembered that moment, wanting to share it with everyone.

High-quality eggs were carefully selected from chicken farms all over Taiwan, a lifelong dedication. Many years later, their grandson, raised by my grandparents, returned home armed with a background in chemistry, dedicated himself to safeguarding and expanding the family business. They pioneered the practice of testing and established a traceable product history. They collaborated with local farms on chicken breeding and feed selection.

Red-yolk eggs, eggs from silky chickens, salted eggs, and century eggs, each eggshell and yolk depicting the natural colors of chicken eggs. Each egg is carefully packed in thick paper bags from my grandfather’s era. The tradition passed down from generation to generation, with the family diligently selecting and hatching, ensuring that the eggs shine brightly every day!

The old egg store hatches a new beginning, experiencing the vibrant joy of egg life.

Originally known as “Xie Xing Egg Store,” it has stood for over 70 years in the Jixing Market of Wanhua. The store cooperates with chicken farms across Taiwan to select and sell fresh egg products. Through a minor makeover and a name change to “Xie Xing Egg House - Sure Thing,” they have elevated their brand positioning to “Hatching Good Eggs for Seventy Years,” reinforcing their dedication to the traditional egg business. The slogan, “Feel the Joy of Egg Life Every Day!” warmly beckons consumers.

They have also introduced the exclusive keyword “The Study of Egg Colors” to educate consumers about the professionalism and dedication behind natural egg colors. They have reorganized their store based on this concept, where nostalgia meets vibrancy, attracting a younger generation of customers.
