Store Transformation in Taipei

【Brand story】

Five decades ago, a young child from a farm in Tianwei, Changhua, quietly formed an unbreakable bond with traditional Chinese medicine. Growing up, his mother prepared nourishing soups during the winter and used herbs to treat illnesses. As he matured, the determined young man aimed to break free from the fate of a farming family. He became an apprentice at a Dihua Street traditional Chinese medicine shop and eventually established his own business.

In 1991, he traveled to mainland China, the homeland of traditional Chinese medicine, overcoming various obstacles and hardships. Over 30 years, he dedicated himself to researching and improving herbal production and the industry’s operational models. He sourced high-quality natural herbs from around the world, selling them in Taiwan and Europe and the Americas.

From harvesting and processing to storage and distribution, he implemented advanced technology, ensuring pesticide-free, pure herbs with a metal filtration system that guarantees safety and quality. The exclusive standardized approach preserved the natural characteristics and effectiveness of the herbs.

These herbs served not only as medicine but also as dietary therapy for health. How could he help more people understand the wisdom of our ancestors? In 2019, De Li Tai embarked on a new era of traditional Chinese medicine culture, tracing the origins of raw materials and advancing to interactive herbal knowledge experiences.

With the principle of benefiting others before oneself, they aspire to help everyone achieve a calm body and mind, every day.

【Key points of transformation】

De Li Tai, a major Chinese herbal wholesaler, operates with a B2B (business-to-business) model, serving corporate clients. They cover the entire spectrum from import and export wholesale to manufacturing and herb cultivation with a complete production history. The founder personally developed a set of herbal processing and quality control standards for a science-based operation. With a profound commitment to traditional Chinese medicine, they aim to promote the use of Chinese herbs in modern life and create health value.

In this transformation, the brand is positioned as the “Modern Chinese Medicine Originator,” conveying the ultimate dedication to cultivation, production, processing, and distribution of Chinese herbs. They have introduced the key phrase “Original Methods,” highlighting De Li Tai’s dedication to preserving the natural appearance and efficacy of Chinese herbal materials. The slogan “Good Deeds, Personal Wellness” reinterprets the meaning of the brand name. The store space is transformed into an “Interactive Chinese Herbal Experience Hall,” creating a knowledge-sharing environment for brand interaction with consumers and bridging the gap between traditional Chinese medicine and the public.

Description

Our story begins 50 years ago when a kid from a farmer’s family in Tianwei Township, Changhua County found his calling in the study of Chinese herbal medicine. As he watched his mother making herbal soup in winter to help strengthen the body and getting her prescription filled when feeling ill, this notion gradually took shape. When he became older, he made up his mind to escape his fate of being a farmer and started working as an apprentice in a Chinese herbal medicine store on Dihua Street. He began his own business afterwards. In 1991, after overcoming all sorts of obstacles and difficulties, he made his journey to Mainland China, the place where all Chinese herbs originally came from. Then he spent another 30 years studying the production and manufacturing process of herbal medicine, as well as the methods designed to help improve the business operation model. He also traveled to many different places collecting high-quality herbs and sold them to Taiwan, Europe, and the U.S. Moreover, the one-stop-shop model he developed applies technology to covering the harvesting, processing, preserving, and delivery stages involved in the production of herbal medicine. The technology-driven equipment not only makes it easier to detect pesticide residue and remove undesirable impurities, but also helps ensure safety and quality by filtering out harmful metal substances. This exclusive standardized process plays a crucial part in helping preserve the original color and effectiveness of medicinal herbs. Even though nowadays herbs are widely used in medicine and food therapy, how to pass the wisdom of our ancestors on to other people still remains a challenge. Recognizing this problem, Daily Health has shifted its business focus in 2019 from searching and tracing raw materials to the development of a featured learning experience that allows people to increase their knowledge of Chinese herbs through interactive content. As Daily Health makes its way into a new cultural era of Chinese herbal medicine, it is hoped that our efforts will bring about positive changes to others and ourselves, eventually making it possible for everyone to live every single day with a healthier body and a peaceful mind.
