In the bustling days of Taipei’s first street, the fragrance of tea began to waft.

Cai Han, a physician from Tong’an, Fujian, resigned from his official post and returned to his hometown, where he began a life of growing tea and practicing medicine. In 1845, he and his family migrated and settled in the old streets of Mengjia, crossing the sea to their new home. Their seal still bears the traces of his ancestors’ entrepreneurial spirit, now over 180 years old. As a compassionate physician skilled in tea-making, he used tea as a form of medicine, and his tea-drinking habits were part of his health regimen. Supported by local tea farmers who practiced natural farming methods, they coexisted with insects in the morning dew. Following ancient tea-making traditions and carrying on the compassionate spirit of his ancestors, the family’s six generations of tea experts share the classic wisdom of aged tea. Visitors come from near and far to enjoy Taiwan high-mountain oolong, lightly roasted for a gentle brew that doesn’t harm the stomach, offering a refreshing and sweet taste. Wuyi rock tea, Anxi Tie Guan Yin, and re-roasted old teas bring forth a rich and mellow warmth without any hint of bitterness. Yunnan pu’er, naturally aged in storage, exudes a long-lasting aroma. The first whiff of tea smoke in old Mengjia, the blessing of prosperity, carries on its fragrant legacy, scattering good fortune among people.

Founded during the Qing Dynasty, this tea brand has a history spanning 180 years. They collaborate with natural farming tea plantations and specialize in the unique roasting techniques passed down for a century. A focus on aged teas gives their shop a distinctive character while also developing a philosophy of well-being.

Located on Guiyang Street in the old Mengjia city district, both the store and its interior decorations are overly traditional, making it challenging to attract younger demographics and tourists. This transformation focuses on their century-old history, deepening the humanistic qualities and emphasizing their tea-making expertise.

The brand’s slogan is “The First Whiff of Tea Smoke in Old Mengjia,” providing a heartfelt narrative of the deep local roots of Mengjia’s century-old tea. They emphasize their expertise in tea roasting and aged teas, using the slogan “New Roasting, Old Roasting, Centuries of Hidden Red” to highlight the rare value and cultural significance of their tea products.

The store space utilizes vintage items to convey a new perspective, conveying the precious value of a century-old tea culture. Their goal is to appeal to younger demographics and foreign tourists, creating a tea culture showcase shop with historical depth and approachability.

The century old "FullDone Old Tea" originated in 1845 when its founder Han Cai migrated from Fuijian Province to Taiwan, settled in Monga old street, and founded the "Fu Da Tong Tea Shop." The Cai descendants have continued the tea heritage and moved the shop here since 1980.
Our goal is to promote the Chinese tea culture and the unique tea baking technique. Taiwan's Oolong tea, the Anxi Tieguanyin tea,
and Yunan's Pu'er tea are the leading cultural tea flavors. We also offer Yixing Kung Fu tea from the 1980s and the shop is decorated with antique arts. Guests are welcome to visit, drink smooth hot tea, rest, and enjoy the beauty of Chinese tea culture.
