Description

In order to "balance the south and north, equalize cultural wealth" and motivate the local culture, education, society, economic development in central and southern regions. On December 15th, 2004, the Executive Yuan approved to establish the National Palace Museum Southern Branch in Taibao City of Chiayi County, and positioned it to be a "Asian Cultural Art Museum." The Southern and Northern Branches of the National Palace Museum are equal in position that supports each other in order to realize the ideal of "two attractions at the south and north, equally wealthy in art."
