Founded by Chen Mei-hua in October 2013 and located at No. 26, Fukang St., Nangang Dist., Taipei, the “Yulan Bookshop” offers products and services such as books, cultural and creative merchandise, food, beverages, and venue rental. The bookshop is also a major activity promotion center, organizing various reading clubs and classes that enrich people’s minds and increase their wisdom using the aspects of society, human culture, religions, and ideologies. Chen, who upholds the spirit of humanism and innovation, hopes to carry forward the cultural atmosphere and humanistic spirit of Nangang. She hopes to transform the Yulan Bookshop into a unique and leading cultural and creative brand in Nangang, actively contributing to the improvement of its human culture.

 

The Yulan Bookshop cherishes and hopes to preserve all of its precious resources, memories, literature, and history in today’s fast-changing world. It promotes the symbiosis and harmony between people and villages, people and the environment, and people and nature, adhering to the belief that “one who has virtues will never be alone” and being determined to create a unique place in the city. Its carefully planned mandala-style endeavors will undoubtedly attract like-minded people. Additionally, it will continue to promote various gatherings, organize events that enrich people’s minds, work with neighborhood communities to spread the knowledge taught in books, and foster a pleasant atmosphere of happy reading and living. The atmosphere of lifelong learning will better people’s lives and encourage each other to better themselves.
