In 1973, the father started a textile business on Dihua Street, also known as the “Textile Market.” He used to develop cloth for major women’s clothing brands in Taiwan, but later expanded his business and sold textiles to foreign brands. However, as the textile industry started to move to other foreign countries a few years ago, many factories manufacturing textiles for fashion design also left the country or closed down. The textile industry fell into decay as a result. The big sister had always been the father’s good girl; she inherited the family business immediately after graduation, a company which her father had run for more than three decades. On the other hand, the cosmetics-loving and independent little sister also worked for the company, but she did not give up her expertise in cosmetics. In 2016, the sisters finally obtained support from their father after communicating with him; they transformed the Company into a new business named “The Beauty Concept.”
Thanks to their experience in textile trades, the sisters acquired broad horizons and deep insights from displaying their products or visiting exhibitions in big cities around the world. They also understand the trending color and fashion trend of each season. The Beauty Concept is inspired by the idea of integrating wonderful things and experiences into daily life, which is why the sisters transformed the business and sell useful daily goods and cosmetics service instead. The Company currently provides Korean semi-permanent makeup, cosmetics products, cosmetics goods, and cosmetics services and courses. It also intends to extend its business to parent-child clothing at the end of this year. The sisters hope they can apply their expertise in textile to daily life.
Since the sisters have been trading and been to many countries, they aspire to bring quality products around the world back to Taiwan, whether it is only a comb, or an insignificant but easy-to-use small good. Moreover, they also aspire to help people become more self-confident and enjoy their lives via the Company’s fashion goods and cosmetics products. This aspiration also reflects the story behind “The Beauty Concept”, i.e., to inherit the beauty in Twatutia and enable customers to enjoy their lives and wonderful experiences in this aesthetic place with a historical background.
