As usual, we chat with our family members and share interesting things in life with them around the dining table. We eat gaojha ( ground shrimp, chicken and beef that are stewed to a pulp with broth and then fried) and look at drumstick-shaped pork rolls in front of us, along with mother's specials: preserved radish omelette as well as squid and sea snails with leek, from which the fragrance of leek and sauce emanates. We suddenly have an inspiration. Why don't we share family recipes from Taiwan households and Yilan specialties with everyone? The restaurant, Truly Taiwanese Cuisine, was born of this idea.
With 30 years of professional experience, our master chef uses a variety of local Yilan ingredients in his cooking. These dishes are full of flavors and stories. Local ingredients in Taiwan are also carefully selected and traditional cooking techniques observed to stay true to the spirit of Taiwanese cuisine!
